Krista started rowing early mornings in 2001 at Simon Fraser University, in her home province of British Columbia. She fell in love with the sport and there was only looking ahead to the Olympic dream from there. It was a long road at times and there were many calls home for the support of her family. Since 2005, she trained and lived in London Ontario to be at the women's training centre or London Training Centre (LTC). 

She can now call herself a two time Olympian; finishing 8th in the women's quadruple sculls in Beijing 2008 and winning a silver medal rowing the women's eight in London 2012. Krista is now back in British Columbia to start the next chapter of her life.
