Accomplished and resilient.
Krista is known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and natural ability in rowing. She earned the title Canadian National athlete and held it for over a decade, during which she found herself in the role of team leader by inspiring and motivating her colleagues.
Her hard work and determination paid off when she won a silver medal for Canada in the women eight competition in August 2012.
Krista's impressive accomplishments in rowing at various levels have established her as one of the most accomplished female rowers in Canadian history.
A Passionate Rower & Team Leader
A Dreamer and A Do-er
In 2001, Krista discovered her love for rowing when she enrolled in a learn-to-row program at Simon Fraser University. Her admiration for Canadian rowers Silken Laumann and Marnie McBean inspired her to pursue her dream of competing in the Olympics. After finishing her studies at SFU, Krista joined the National Team in Ontario and rapidly climbed the ranks.
In 2008, she participated in her first Olympics, an impressive achievement that highlighted her remarkable progress in the sport.
In 2012, she brought home the Silver Medal in the Women's 8 for Team Canada. It was an absolutely brilliant experience that let her move forward as a champion of her sport.
