Beyond Medication: The Daily Health Practices That Support Me

When you're walking through something like cancer, people often ask:"What else are you doing?"
And the truth is — a lot. I do it because I know that more is possible—way more than the standard of care offers. I understand that supporting my body helps it work better.
These practices don’t replace my medical treatment. They complement it. They support it. And, most importantly, they help me feel like I have a say in my own healing. There is a lot to be said for taking your power back.
Here’s what I try to do most days, outside of medication:
🔥 Detox & Circulation Support
Infrared Sauna: It helps me sweat out what doesn’t serve me and calm my nervous system.
Cold Plunge: It’s not just for the brave — it’s for the determined. Shocking the system, calming inflammation, and sharpening my mind.
Rebounding: A few minutes of bouncing = gentle lymph movement. It's an easy add.
💧 Hydration & Inner Fuel
Filtered Kangen Water (9.5 pH): I’m mindful about the water I drink. This is clean, hydrogen rich, alkaline, and powerful. (message me and I can provide more info on this)
Green Tea: My gentle pick-me-up that also delivers antioxidants and calm. Know to fight cancer as well.
Smoothies: A daily ritual. Mine are packed with frozen berries, mushroom powder, iG26, protein, chlorella, and more depending on the month.
Greens (GreenSynergy): For digestion, gut health, and those micronutrients you don’t always catch in meals.
Manuka Honey: A spoonful a day — for gut, immunity and cancer support. I love to add it to my daily matcha.....stacking habits together!
🍄 Nutrient & Immune Modulation
Medicinal Mushrooms: Adaptogens that help me stay grounded, focused, and supported on a cellular level.
Organic Food: Because chemicals matter. I choose clean when I can — not to be perfect, but to be intentional.
🌙 Rest & Recovery
Melatonin (high dose): For me, it’s part of a targeted cancer strategy — but also supports deeper rest and repair. It is also known to protect against the radiation from the PET scans. I take 300 mg on thos days. I know this one seems wild, but have a look into the literature.
Evening Wind-down: Less screen time, more quiet. I honour my sleep like it’s part of my treatment — because it is. It is not a given, I have to work on this one. It's an easy habit to let slide when you have stressors and a busy life.
💬 Why This Matters
Because healing isn’t just in a bottle. It’s in how you move. What you drink. The way you start your morning. And the intention behind your routines.
You don’t have to do everything — but you can do something. Even one practice, done consistently, can change the way you feel in your body.
This is SOME of my “stack.” Not perfect. Not rigid. Just a rhythm that supports me — body, mind, and spirit.
